Playing soccer is a rewarding experience. You surely enjoy the sport, or you wouldn’t be reading this article. Improving your game starts with learning. For all the girls and young ladies out there, soccer is a great sport. As part of my monthly blog, I’ve added some things I have learnt below. And remember, if you would like to support my team, you can check out these multi-purpose tights&leggings here.
If a defender is closing in on you, pass the ball. Keep the ball for as long as you can advance safely and pass it to another player once the defenders are on you. The new player then has a head start against their own defenders.
As obvious as it seems, you must maintain full visual of the ball at every minute. Soccer is a very fast paced game and the ball passes from player to player very quickly. If you’re having problems picking up the ball, you run the risk of your opponent scoring a goal.
An Outside Elastico is a simple procedure you need to learn. When you are on the flanks, the Outside Elastico is a great way to cut back to the inside. To practice this skill, place an object like a cone on the ground. Your starting position should be about five paces behind the marker. Start dribbling towards it. When you start closing in on your cone, try taking a little touch outside and quickly touching the ball to the inside again. The touch outside will trick your opponents. Keep in mind that your second touch needs to be bigger then your first one.
It’s hard to control a lofted ball. Make your passes low when you notice defenders getting close. Lofted balls are more appropriate for making long passes to a teammate who is located in an area that is not so crowded.
If you are located in mid-field, notice what is happening on both ends. You need to be prepared to receive the soccer ball from a single side and quickly switch it to the opposite side. You must be aware of where open players and defense players are positioned.
If you want to train better, try doing penalty kicks soon after you get done doing other types of practice. This helps your brain think about the penalty kick after a foul occurs. Learn to approach the ball from different angles and try sending it to different areas of the field with accuracy.
Because you read this article, you learned some great knowledge on the sport of soccer. Therefore, you are prepared to utilize this new found knowledge. Practice makes perfect. Know everything that was gone over here so you’re able to do that much better the next time you play soccer.
